Marisa Mansueto Returns to GW as Associate Director for Clinical Education

Marisa Mansueto

Marisa Mansueto will serve as the associate director for clinical education in the Department of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Sciences at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

As associate director for clinical education, Mansueto will manage the development, implementation and evaluation of the fieldwork experiences for students.  The role works closely with Danielle Centi, DrOT, OTR/L, CBIS, the academic fieldwork coordinator, and Ashley Forbes, the clinical placement coordinator, to schedule and execute logistics for the six experiential learning opportunities in the OT program.

Mansueto brings six years of prior experience from GW in the School of Media and Public Affairs, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research. Most recently, she was an implementation coordinator at Georgetown University and earned her bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and master’s from GW.

"I am so happy to be back at GW and in this role supporting clinical education for both the physical therapy and occupational therapy programs," said Mansueto.

Born in Flanders, New Jersey, Mansueto also spent two years in Spain which she attributes to her enhanced global perspective. As OT students develop professional, interpersonal, and hands-on skills in various OT settings to obtain introductory and immersive experiences, she hopes that students continue to “always stay curious and be excited to learn” as they explore communities in Washington, D.C. and around the U.S.

Mansueto began serving in this role in May 2024.
