The GW Doctor of Occupational Therapy program knows that throughout the program you likely enjoyed the location of Washington, D.C., made a revolutionary impact, engaged with the community, and built relationships with your GW community throughout the hybrid program format. We want to share your positive outcomes and experiences with future GW OTD students and that is why we are pleased to host our first GW OTD Revolutionary Video Contest! Students who currently enrolled in the GW OTD program are invited to submit videos from the program that meet one or more of the following six categories.

Show us how you take advantage of the hybrid education format (synchronous and asynchronous) to fit your schedule! Illustrate the realistic balance of remote learning flexibility, on-campus weeks, work-life balance, and commuting/home study setups.

If none of your photos fit any of these categories, submit them anyway and tell us why the images represent your experience. We are not looking for perfection, but instead are looking for creativity, a clear display of the values and experiences of the program, and the reality of life as a GW OTD student. We look forward to seeing your GW Revolutionary video!
Eligibility Requirements
- Video submissions must be original work (no professional photos with logos or watermarks will be accepted) and must have been taken by the contestant during their GW OTD program.
- Contestants must be current GW OTD students.
- Non-GW OTD students who have not completed a photo/video release will not be allowed to be featured in the footage.
Judging
Photos will be evaluated by a team of judges comprised of a combination of members of the GW faculty and staff. Decisions are final.
Judging Criteria
- Advancing the Profession: Occupational therapy is clearly defined for audiences that do not know what the profession is or does.
- Representation of GW Values: Effectively highlights one or more of the 6 contest categories to educate and inspire prospective students.
- Creative Storytelling: The message, visuals, and audio are clear, positive, and professional.
Prizes
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $300
- 3rd Place: $150
Submissions will be featured on our social media pages! If you are interested in being tagged in your video, be sure to enter your Instagram handle when submitting your video(s).

By entering the contest, you are giving the George Washington University permission to use your video(s) and other information/comments submitted in various marketing activities, publications and/or the web for the purpose of promoting the George Washington University. All photos, not just winning photos, may be used by the George Washington University for the purposes noted above.
